Safe Peer Spaces to Practice Voice and Confidence
Peer Support Groups are safe, guided spaces where registered participants can practise confidence, voice, self-expression, and shared learning with others. These groups are peer-led and guided, supportive and optional, and focused on confidence, voice, and shared learning. They are not VoiceAbility program delivery, licensed training, or formal accredited sessions. For structured VoiceAbility programs, modules, or accredited delivery, participants must register through the main VoiceAbility registration system.

Group Options: Online and In-Person
Peer Support Groups may be offered online or in person, depending on participant needs, availability, and local arrangements. Registration is managed through the main VoiceAbility system.
Online Peer Support Groups
Purpose: flexible, accessible space to connect, practise speaking up, reflect on goals, and learn from shared experiences. Format: small-group, guided peer discussion online. Frequency: offered on a regular basis, subject to availability. Available to registered participants. Registration is managed through the main VoiceAbility system.
In-Person Peer Support Groups
Purpose: safe, respectful space to practise communication, confidence, and self-advocacy alongside peers. Format: small-group, guided peer discussion in person. Frequency: offered where local availability and access arrangements allow. Available to registered participants. Registration is managed through the main VoiceAbility system.

Who These Groups Are For
Registered participants who want a supportive, peer-led space to build confidence, practise voice, and connect with others who share similar experiences.
Not Program Delivery
Peer Support Groups do not replace structured VoiceAbility programs, modules, or accredited delivery. They are not licensed training or formal accredited sessions.
Safety, Access and Group Boundaries
Peer Support Groups are designed to be respectful, trauma-informed, and non-clinical. Group agreements help create a safer space where participants can choose how they engage, what they share, and when they need a break. Participants are encouraged to listen respectfully, share only what feels safe, respect other people's privacy, use inclusive and supportive language, and recognise that everyone's voice and experience is different. Confidentiality is expected within peer spaces, with clear safety limits. If there is a concern about immediate safety or risk of harm, support may need to be escalated through appropriate pathways. Peer Support Groups are not therapy, counselling, crisis support, legal advice, or formal program delivery. VoiceAbility aims to support access through clear information, inclusive communication, and reasonable adjustments wherever possible.
